Viscontea pendant lamp by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, 1960s

An exceptional Viscontea pendant lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in 1960. This iconic lamp is constructed from resin with a steel internal structure.
Our example dates from the 1960s and features a remarkable, naturally developed patina that dramatically transforms its appearance. The fibrous material, originally clear white and later taupe in tone, has matured into a rich cognac, leather-like hue. As a result, the lamp emits an exceptionally warm and atmospheric light, capable of effortlessly transforming any interior.
The lamp is in very good overall condition, showing only minimal signs of age and use.
