Rimorchiatore table lamp by Gae Aulenti for Candle, 1969

Sculptural table lamp Rimorchiatore which is Italian for Tugboat, designed by renowned architect and designer Gae Aulenti for Candle in 1969. Made of cast iron and yellow lacquered metal, the lamp showcases Aulenti’s signature style with its rounded forms, sleek finish, and playful asymmetry. Described in Candle’s catalogue as a “lamp with double lighting, ash tray, and flower vase,” each light operates independently via side toggle switches. This piece, in bright yellow, is in pristine, unused condition with all original parts intact and fully functional.
