Pelota table lamp by Casati & Ponzio for Lamperti, 1971

Table lamp, model Pelota. Designed by Cesare Casati & Emanuele Ponzio in 1971, Casati & Ponzio founded Studio DA in 1965. They developed projects in various sectors like architecture, urban planning, interior design, exhibition design, and industrial design. This design is inspired by an attribute that is used for the Spanish sport Pelota Basca, a ball game that is 400 years old. The name of the original attribute is Xistera, it looks the same as the lamp. It’s made of plastic with a chrome lacquer. Overall condition is very good, with minor fading on the chrome. On the bottom is an attribution mark.
