Model 554 desk lamp by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi, 1963

A classic Italian-style desk lamp created by the hand of Oscar Torlasco. It was designed circa 1963 and produced by the Milanese lighting manufacturer Lumi. This model 554 desk lamp is made of the highest quality materials, it consists of cast iron, brass and other lacquered metals. This model was produced in several versions: one with a glass diffuser (554/s) and another with three single lenses that cover each light. Several other lamps produced by Lumi also have various lenses in their designs. It’s a recognizable feature from Oscar Torlasco. We believe that our lamp was sold exactly like this, there is no indication that anything is missing, and the lamp is beautifully finished. Furthermore, the lamp is in very good condition, the brass has acquired a patina over time and the paint has been very well preserved.
