Mod. 4048 pendant lamp by Massimo Vignelli for Venini, C. 1954
Exquisite hand-blown glass pendant lamp, model 4048, in a rich caramel brown hue. This exceptional piece was designed by Massimo Vignelli early in his career, around 1954. Crafted by Venini’s expert Murano glassmakers in the 1950s, it stands as one of Vignelli’s lesser-known designs for the renowned glassworks. The lamp is ingeniously designed to change color when illuminated, adding a unique touch to its aesthetic. A rare and highly collectible piece, it remains in excellent overall condition.
