Industrial table lamp by L’isola Che Non C’è, 1970s
Large industrial table lamp in the style of the Meccano construction system. This lamp is of Italian origin and dates back to the late 1970s. Its maker was “L’isola Che Non C’è,” an unknown Italian lighting manufacturer who produced a range of very interesting and artistic lighting fixtures. Unfortunately, the designer remains unknown.
Our lamp is made of white and red lacquered metal. On the bottom is a red base that supports the large stem, which is adjustable by hand at three points. On top are two perforated metal shades overlapping each other which are also adjustable. It features a refined, industrial, playful touch and creates a beautiful light effect when lit. The overall condition is very good.
