Poveglia table lamp by Gae Aulenti for Vistosi, 1969
Rare Poveglia table lamp, designed by Gae Aulenti for Vistosi, circa 1969. Produced in Murano, Italy during the 1970s. This unusual table lamp is made of two Murano glass parts. The bottom part has a sanded surface and creates diffuse light. It supports the top glass part of the lamp, which is covered in yellow Murrine particles. During the production of this lamp, uranium was used to create the color of this lamp. A highly chemical process that has long been forbidden.
Unique lamp in very good condition with a small crack at the joint connection of the socket (see picture attached). Except for this, the lamp has no damages and is equipped with all original electrical parts.
